WELCOME TO PACK 270!

Pack 270 is sponsored by Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church on North Ocean Avenue in Patchogue. Our weekly meetings are held on Tuesday evenings, from 7PM till 8PM in the Barton Elementary School cafeteria. The school is located at 199 Barton Avenue in Patchogue. We primarily serve the neighborhoods of Patchogue and Medford, however we welcome boys from anywhere. We hold two recruitment events each year at both Barton Elementary School and Holy Angels Regional School. While most of our boys come from these two schools, we do currently have boys from many surrounding areas such as Holtsville, Sachem and Bellport. Everybody is welcome to join our Pack!

The purpose of Cub Scouting:

Cub Scouting is a year-round family-oriented part of the BSA program designed for boys who are in first through fifth grades (or are 7, 8, 9, and 10 years of age). Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the 10 purposes of Cub Scouting:

Character Development

Spiritual Growth

Good Citizenship

Sportsmanship and Fitness

Family Understanding

Respectful Relationships

Personal Achievement

Friendly Service

Fun and Adventure

Preparation for Boy Scouts

All the activities leaders plan and boys enjoy should relate to one or more of these purposes. These purposes help us achieve the overall aims of the BSA, of character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness.
